  1. That is a very interesting article. I would think for programs like SNAP and WIC, they could easily make it so only fruits, vegetables, dairy, and healthy proteins could be purchased. If people want chips and cookies and soda and candy they can buy it out of their own pocket. Dollar stores and convenience stores need to start having some healthier options. Actually the Tom Thumb stores around me now do. I’m not sure about vegetables but they have fresh fruit every day. I think the only vegetables they have there are frozen and canned. I’m probably the only healthy proteins are canned tuna chicken and sardines.
