Conclusions and Relevance Adults 75 years of age or older with adenoma at prior colonoscopy were more likely to experience subsequent CRC and CRC death compared with those without adenoma, but cumulative risks were low and were far exceeded by competing risks for non-CRC death. Older adults may consider deprioritizing surveillance colonoscopy relative to other […]
Yes dear reader, yet another post in the never ending series of random thoughts on retirement. https://lifeunderwriter.net/tag/random-thoughts-on-retirement/ Though the traditional retirement age in the U.S. typically falls between 62 and 67, many Americans continue working beyond that point. Changes in neural connections due to substance use and withdrawal are long-lasting, and craving can peak well into abstinence. So although it was initially demonstrated for cocaine, incubation of craving […]

I went vegan this year.
A lot of our meals are vegetarian but not vegan. I have just a few vegan recipes I enjoy. Overall I am still an omnivore.
I’m definitely in omnivore too. But the place I get my Thanksgiving meal every year has a vegan option that I like much better than turkey. It is some sort of walnut loaf that is absolutely delicious.
I enjoy a good veggie loaf every now and then too. But I have way too many traditionalists in my extended family to serve a walnut loaf on Thanksgiving.
It’s just me, Eli the golden retriever, and Lily the calico cat. They are carnivores, so they are getting white meat turkey. New profile picture?
Yes. The photo was taken a few weeks ago in Lake Conroe TX at our niece’s wedding. The Boss and I are rarely dressed up so this picture is a keeper. Our niece and her husband are stopping over for T-Day and will continue their trek on Friday to have T-Day with his family at the grandparent’s place in Wichita KS. Our brother-in-law (not the father of this niece) is also up from TX. So we’ll have five adults and one Aussie today. The dog bowls are already out and I have TREATS.
