I Just Paid $5.59 for a Dozen Eggs

I remember back in the good old days a dozen eggs cost just $0.89 cents. See Egg Salad (because you will be eating more eggs).

WAIT…that was only three years ago.

  1. I live in Victoria, Australia. The chickens here are getting bird flu. A work colleague paid $9 for a dozen eggs the other day. I don’t know what my supermarket is selling them for because there are none there when I am able to go.

    1. We have lots of bird flu here in the states too. Also, a number of chicken farm fires roasted a lot of birds, so less egg production from this. With the current exchange rate you paid roughly $6 USD for your eggs. Ouch!
